Wearing a closed smile, he tucked the runaway hair behind her ear "You're beautiful."
She smiled brightly, swiftly took his hat from his head and adjusted it on the tip of hers. "Of course I am. I'm not a sensational sister for my brains."
She stuck out her tongue and winked at the boy.
Stifling a laugh he rested his arms on her waist. It had been so long. He had missed her so much and regretted it immensely on not telling her. Instead he would just go on another journey and leave those feelings in a haze behind. Blocking them out. But not anymore. Now he got to hold her. To see her smile. She was now in his arms and he felt content. No one could take her away. He was hers now.
"I've missed you."
"Ash.." That was all she wanted to hear him say. She had waited years for him to say that. /Years/. "I..." Tears stung her eyes. she clenched onto his shirt tighter. Her lip quivered uncontrollably. "Please..." It finally happened. She finally had settled her feelings with Ash and for what? For the fear of having him leave again. Any day he could get up and leave while she was chained to the gym. He would leave for who knows how long. With not even a card to confirm his safety. Probably get another girl to go along to fill the empty void. It didn't stop him before why would this make a difference?
"Misty, what's wrong?" Panic and concerned filled Ash's face.
She hung her head low trying to shut her eyes tightly so the tears would have no way of escaping. 6 years of holding it back took away her strength to do it any longer. "Please. Please don't.." She didn't want to say it. It wasn't fair for him to give up his dreams for her, but she couldn't leave it at that either.
Ash laid both hands on her cheeks and gently lifted her face. "Tell me."
Through shaky breaths she told him her biggest fear. Abandonment. "Please...don't leave me. Not again." (Picture)
Ash blinked in revelation. This woman had thought after confessing his love for her he would get right up and leave? How heartless does she think he is?
"Pff-" a small smile filled with humor graced his face. He held her closer. "I have no intention to go anywhere without you, Misty." His look went back to one of content as the girl buried her face into his chest. Stroking her hair in a soothing manner.
"I'm not going anywhere."

Misty's face turned to shock.
"Do you really think I would tell you how much I love you and then just leave?" He smirked. "God Misty what kind of man do you take me for?"
With a pointer finger she lifted up the hat and shook off the magikarp gap replacing it with a glare, swiftly punched him in the arm. "A very inconsiderate one who isn't a very good comforter." She sniffed.
"Ow" He grinned. "Admit it. You're relieved."
"Hmph."
"Wanting me all to yourself. Selfish."
"Are you looking for a fist to the face?"
A soft smile with dim eyes graced his features. Tilting her face back from the side to him he wiped away the tears that still laid. "The thought of leaving you has never occurred in my mind. I wouldn't be able to travel without you." He brought his face closer to hers, whispering to her lips. "I promise you. I'm not going anywhere."
